Krystal Floyd, who previously supported fundraising programs at 欧美高清, has returned to serve as the university鈥檚 development director. Her new tenure is part of the university鈥檚 strategic effort to rebuild its fundraising function.

In her capacity as development director, Floyd will focus on fostering positive relationships with Tuskegee鈥檚 alumni and its philanthropic donors. Her work on Tuskegee鈥檚 behalf will advance elements of its five-year strategic plan centered on enhancing and diversifying its fundraising outreach and success.

鈥淐haritable gifts from alumni and donors are a vital lifeblood for universities like ours,鈥 said Don Winston, a 1972 Tuskegee alumnus volunteering as Tuskegee鈥檚 interim vice president for advancement and development. 鈥淜rystal鈥檚 efforts 鈥 and those of the other professionals who will join her as part of our development team 鈥 will ensure we effectively prioritize philanthropic opportunities, communicate those needs to our alumni and donors, and celebrate how their contributions will strengthen Mother Tuskegee and her future.鈥

Tuskegee鈥檚 current fundraising priorities center on enhancing its students鈥 overall university experience and ensuring they are equipped to be successful in their chosen careers. This will include securing charitable support from alumni, corporations, foundations and other donors to provide students with additional scholarship opportunities, nurturing faculty and staff, challenging academics and modern dormitory amenities.

Floyd, who has served as a development professional for more than a decade, was most recently director of development for Brantwood Children鈥檚 Home in Montgomery, Alabama. There, she oversaw the nonprofit organization鈥檚 development, marketing, communications and public relations efforts. As part of her previous work on behalf of 欧美高清, she served as its assistant director of annual giving and major gifts officer for the Southeast region. She hails from Columbus, Georgia, and earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Georgia.

Outside of her professional work, Floyd has volunteered as an ambassador for the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and a loaned executive for the River Region United Way. Presently, she is vice president of the River Region Chapter of the American Business Women鈥檚 Association and was named the organization鈥檚 2016 Women of the Year.
