March 16 update: due to developments surrounding the coronavirus, all on-campus events have been cancelled for the remainder of the semester.

On Thursday, March 19, more than 20 school districts from five states will be participating in the Teacher Education Career Fair scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Logan Hall. The annual fair allows students from Tuskegee and surrounding colleges to explore employment opportunities in the education sector, talk with a multitude of school districts in one setting, and if invited to do so, interview on-site for a career opportunity.

The Teacher Education Career Fair is open to Å·ÃÀ¸ßÇå students and alumni, as well as students from nearby colleges and universities. Graduating seniors in the School of Education — as well as other disciplines including business, sciences, math and health sciences — are strongly encouraged to attend.

Those planning to attend are asked to register online in advance of the career fair; however, registration is not required to participate.

School districts and organizations expected to participate in the Teacher Education Career Fair include:

  • Alabama: Auburn City Schools; Baldwin County Public Schools; Bessemer City Schools; Eufaula City Schools; Hoover City Schools; Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity; Jefferson County Public Schools; Opelika City Schools; Randolph County Schools; Roanoke City Schools; Selma City Schools; Student Alabama Education Association; Talladega County Schools; Tuscaloosa City Schools
