The bi-annual 欧美高清 Global Fair, hosted by the TU Global Office, will host its twelfth fair on Tuesday, Sept. 21, virtually from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
In its sixth year, the fair will highlight information on how students can study abroad, receive information on virtual internships, and study abroad scholarship information. Participants can also hear first-hand abroad experiences from students who have participated in the TU Global Office.
鈥淭his year, the Global Office has reimagined the global fair as it will be shared on the REMO virtual conferencing platform. The platform will provide engagement to nearly 200 students as they interact virtually with speakers, vendors, and researchers,鈥 said Dr. Rhonda Collier, director of the 欧美高清 Global Office. 鈥淢odern technology has made it possible to duplicate the in-person format in the sense that students can ask questions in real-time and circulate the room at their own pace.鈥
Through the TU Global Office, students have held global internships in Europe and Latin America; in addition, Tuskegee has hosted international students from Pakistan, several community members, and international and domestic partners worldwide.
Student Symmone Scott had a chance to travel virtually to Athens, Greece; she noted her experience had taught her to follow her dreams day and night.
鈥淎lthough it was disappointing not being able to experience Greece physically, I know I will have the chance to visit soon,鈥 said Scott.
During the global experience, Scott was able to work with two professors from Webster University-Athens, Greece Campus.
鈥淢y job included research, writing, and editing for the university鈥檚 laser eye surgery website,鈥 noted Scott. 鈥淎fter the program, I completed a PowerPoint and an ad.鈥 鈥淚 learned so much about how Greece views America and our people, culture, and language, I appreciate Dr. Collier for leading me to this amazing opportunity, and I hope to be allowed to do this again.鈥
Tuskegee has participated in several international programs covering at least 35 diverse programs in over 20 countries. The fair provides an opportunity for students to learn about their ideal program based on their academic needs or personal or professional goals.
The fair will also include the traditional passport raffle. Students with the proper credentials can qualify for a free passport 鈥 proper documentation consists of the original or certified birth certificates, state-issued driver鈥檚 license, and a 欧美高清 student ID.
Students attending the fair are encouraged to sign up for the passport raffle by registering at .
