The 欧美高清 Food and Agriculture Scholarship Program (TUFASP)

The 欧美高清 Food and Agriculture Scholars Program (TUFASP), under the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences (CAENS), was established to recruit, mentor, and train undergraduate students pursuing studies in food and agricultural sciences. The scholars program encourages outstanding students to pursue and complete baccalaureate degrees in food and agricultural sciences and related areas that will lead to a highly skilled food and agricultural systems workforce.

The TUFASP scholarship awards are intended to supplement, not complement, the financial aid already awarded to a student. That is to say, they add value to the resources the University or external sources have committed to the student, not to complete them.

The TUFASP scholarship awards are funded by the USDA with the express intent to support high-achieving students with a confirmed interest in a career as a food or agricultural scientist. To receive and renew the scholarship award, the student must be:

  • enrolled in a degree program in food and agricultural sciences;
  • making consistent satisfactory academic progress towards the degree in terms of credits and grades earned (30 credits per year, cumulative GPA of 2.80); and
  • actively engaging in academic support and career building activities as directed by TUFASP.

The award is renewable for up to four years or eight semesters of good standing.

The TUFASP program is open to high school students and college transfer students who demonstrate competence and commitment to pursue careers in food and agriculture. It provides funding that can be applied to tuition, room, and board. The application is open to high school and transfer students.

Applicants should complete the application form indicating their interest in the program and their proposed major. Applicants under 18 years old should first obtain the permission of a parent or guardian. The following supporting documents should be included in the application:

  • Current r茅sum茅
  • Essay of 500 to 800 words describing your interest and intent to pursue a career in food and agricultural sciences or related fields.
  • Two letters of recommendation from a high school counselor or teacher, or other person.

Applicants should have applied and been accepted to 欧美高清. Also, a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) should have been submitted to the University at the time of application.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Funding is limited and awards will be made on a 鈥渞olling鈥 basis until exhausted. We look forward to seeing your application!
