Research Summary

  • Hydrology and Watershed Engineering: 
    Mathematical modeling of surface and subsurface hydrologic and hydraulic systems, modeling of the fate and transport of point and nonpoint source pollutants (nutrients, pesticides and sediments) at varied scales, water resources management and pollution control, soil and water quality/conservation, modeling of wetlands ecosystems and services.  
  • Geospatial Science and Information Systems: 
    Satellite Remote Sensing (RS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Precision Agriculture and related geospatial approach to water, soils and natural resources management, forestry resource management, agricultural management practices, early warning systems and disaster management, big data science.  
  • Climate Variability and Change:  
    Global climate change impacts on water resources, agriculture and crop modeling and yield, climate change adaptation for sustainable water resources and agriculture. 
  • Forestry and Crop studies: 
    Geospatial applications for forest resources studies, forest management, and Crop modeling. Â
