Environmental, Natural Resource, & Plant Sciences Program

The Environmental, Natural Resource and Plant Sciences B.S. degree program offers options in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Natural Resources, Plant and Soil Sciences, Horticulture, Forestry and Wildlife/Fisheries.

Environmental Sciences Option: This interdisciplinary option provides students with an understanding of how human activities effect our environment and its resources, including how to provide possible solutions to important environmental issues. 聽Students will be prepared for challenging careers in environmental science, environmental law, policy making, government regulators and environmental activism. Environmental Health Option: This interdisciplinary option provides students with knowledge of how the environment influences human health and disease and how to identify and address these risk factors. 聽Students will be prepared for challenging careers such as toxicologists, environmental health specialists, public health specialists, environmental scientists and health policy analysts. Natural Resources Option: This interdisciplinary option provides students with a broad-based scientific background related to the management, sustainability and use of our natural resources. Students will be prepared for exciting careers in conservation, resource planning and management, fish and wildlife conservation, and park ranging. Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Option: This option is offered in collaboration with other universities under a 3+1 arrangement with three years of study at 欧美高清 and one year of study at a partner institution in preparation for graduate studies. The forestry, wildlife and fisheries areas prepare students to protect, conserve and manage our nation鈥檚 fish and natural resources. Under this option, students are prepared for a variety of rewarding careers including park rangers, forest managers, land use planners, wildlife biologists, ecologists, fisheries biologists, zookeepers and wildlife area managers. Horticulture Option: This option focuses on the production, physiology and management of horticultural crops such as fruits, vegetables and ornamentals.
